Come along and learn a non-aggressive martial art with an emphasis on mind and body co-ordination in a safe, friendly and inspiring environment.

Aikido is a Japanese martial art focusing on harmonising with others. Suitable for both men and women of all ages, Aikido is both mentally stimulating and physically challenging, yet safe and fun to learn.

Aikido Kenkyukai Ryde-Eastwood Dojo is a non-profit Aikido dojo (training hall) whose aim is to teach our students to a high standard of care and attention and bring the spirit of Aikido to our local community. We are conveniently located in the heart of West Ryde, close to the train station and Victoria Road buses. The dojo is only a short drive from Gladesville and Putney to the East; Meadowbank, Rhodes and Concord to the South; Eastwood, Epping and North Ryde to the North, and Ermington, Rydalmere and Parramatta to the West.

We are located upstairs at the Family Fitness and Self-Defence Academy 1043a Victoria Rd, West Ryde NSW 2114 (opposite the McDonalds and Shell Service Station).

Adult classes (15 years and older) are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 7.00 – 8.30pm. Please note we don’t have children’s classes. (There are excellent children’s Aikido classes available at Aikido Sydney City dojo, or, if you are looking for something locally there are Ju-Jitsu classes for kids of all ages at the World JuJitsu Australia and Family Fitness and Self Defence Academy in West Ryde.)

All our instructors are accredited with the Martial Arts Industry Association (MAIA), (the peak industry body for Martial Arts in Australia) and abide by the MAIA Code of Ethics to ensure all classes are conducted safely and to the highest standards of conduct.
